Drenchia Rural House Museum

Friuli, from the Natisone and Torre Valleys to the Tagliamento Museums and exhibitions

In the hamlet of Trinco, in the municipality of Drenchia, it's possible to visit the small Casa Rurale museum.

Housed in the village’s former elementary school, it displays a variety of objects and tools from local rural life, tracing its history from the late nineteenth century to the middle of the twentieth.

This anthropological and ethnographic exhibition helps visitors better understand life in the Natisone Valleys, a unique linguistic and cultural island in Friuli Venezia Giulia. For Great War enthusiasts, the museum also preserves some evidence from those years, including relics and photographs. Trinco lies at the foot of the Kolovrat ridge, where the second and third Italian defensive lines once ran and where an open-air Great War museum now stands.
