Tavolo Bunker (Bunker Network)

The Bunker Network is a cooperation agreement signed by PromoTurismoFVG and the Regional Department for Culture of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia to enhance and promote the defensive structures built in the region during the Twentieth Century, with particular focus on the Alpine Wall fortifications and those used during the Cold War.

PromoTurismoFVG also collaborates with the University of Udine and the University of Trieste to enhance the cultural heritage linked to the history of the Twentieth Century in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The historical background texts featured on this website were prepared within the framework of the PRIN 2022 PNRR project “Cultural Heritage of War on the Borderland. Politics of Memory, Economic Development and Local Communities”, led by Tommaso Piffer (University of Udine) and Patrick Karlsen (University of Trieste).
